Special Alert – Day of Prayer For Gods Creation

I want to let you know that “Renewal”, a new group seeking to connect students around the US with each other around the subject of Creation Care, has called for a “Day of Prayer for God’s Creation” this Wednesday, October 29. I want to encourage you to find a way to take part, as I will be doing.

Care of Creation has been encouraging Renewal from inception, and we want to encourage all of the members of our family to join with them on Wednesday in whatever form – a special time of prayer on your own, joining with some of your friends for a prayer walk through the woods, or even making prayer for God’s creation a part of a small or large group that might be meeting on Wednesday.

The Apostle Paul put God’s groaning creation right in the middle of Romans 8 – it is certainly appropriate for us to make this a subject of united prayer. If we care about something, we pray about it. If we really care – and I believe you do, or you probably wouldn’t be on this mailing list – we will pray together, confident that God will hear.
